This was my first river cruise I’ve ever done, so maybe you guys already know this stuff? Either way, we had a great time!

- Entertainment
- The onboard entertainment was a surprise – We were not expecting anything on this river cruise
- One belly dancer night w/ a whirling dervish – Lots of fun.
- One Egyptian night – Everyone on our tour bought outfits to wear ($15-$20 on the ship or while shopping). Super fun. You could also bring some from home/Amazon I guess, but a few of us made shopping a sport and had a blast!
- One Nubian Night – Musicians & dancers.
- Tea time every day at 4:30. We all played cards & hung out, had a beer on the top deck.
- Pool on top deck was too cold (Jan 2026), we dipped our sore feet one day.
- On board gift shop had great prices –
- Most of the dresses, t-shirts, jewelry is the same everywhere you go. Many people got personalized cartouches, gold and silver. They also personalized t-shirts with Egyptian lettering – Spelling people’s names, etc.

- Wifi – Ship wifi was not the best. We found our eSIMs worked better.
- Photographer –
- On Egyptian Night, there was a photographer taking portraits & group shots. Then at breakfast he was selling memory books with pictures of each couple! I believe it was $20, we bought it lol.
- Videographer –
- For the first 1-2 days I thought this guy was just filming a promo vid for the cruise, but he was filming us for a video! It plays in the lounge every night so you can see the highlights. At the end of the trip you can buy it for $35 USD. We bought it lol.
- Most Nile River ships are the same size – Five floors. Restaurant is in the basement, level 1 is the lounge, main lobby, shopping and a few rooms. Spa on the 3rd floor and 4th floor roof has a bar, seating and a pool. There was no elevator.
Is this everyone else’s river cruise experience? I’m guessing some of this is Nile River-specific? Either way, we loved it!
