The onboard entertainment was a surprise – We were not expecting anything on this river cruise One belly dancer night w/ a whirling dervish – Lots of fun. One Egyptian night – Everyone on our tour bought outfits to wear ($15-$20 on the ship or while shopping). Super fun. As mentioned, if you like a beer or glass of wine to help you sleep, buy this at the airport after you pass security. Other airlines should include alcohol, but best to check. Muslims don’t really drink alcohol, their vice is smoking, or hookas that they use when they hang out. Hotels made great cocktails, good wine, most bartenders knew how to make a drink. My goal is to create a full list / PDF of things I packed (or wish I had packed!). But, priorities my sweets. Here’s the highlights besides the normal travel stuff. Travel disco ball, obvi. Our tour company prepared us to wear long pants, shirts that cover elbows, and have a headscarf ready when visiting temples.
